Yah, finially got some new headphones. After numerous hours of reserach and squandering most of my christmas money, I have finially found my true love. Well at least somewhat. I must say that after almost 50 hours of burn-in time, they do sound amazing. I can finially tell the difference between a 128kbps and 340kbps song, and let me tell you, the later is much better. Best of all, they are so closed, so I can no longer hear either my jet-engine of a computer, or my mother. Both of which are good things I might add. Other than that, christmas was good. My parents found a way to get me nothing at all that was on my list, but thats ok, because I got some really sweet stuff anyway. E-mail me and I will tell you about it all! In hindsight, I think not getting speakers was a good thing, because headphones allow me to blast out my eardrums without bothering anyone else (or told to turn it down). So ya, thats about it. Posted by Hello

The Geek night before christmas

Twas the night before Xmas, when all through the house
No PC was whirring; no keyboard, no mouse.
The CD’s were stacked on the table with care,
In hopes that a new game would soon be there.

The geeks were all nestled all snug in their beds,
With visions of severing clean Zombie’s heads.
G-Man’s words echoed during their nap,
after blood and guts splattering into their lap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I readied the crowbar with intent to batter,
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
When a sniper let loose and the window did smash.

The moon lit the beast, who had been laid low,
Cried out with a squeal and jumped up from below,
A headcrab leaped at me, it now was so clear,
A minature foe, which froze me with fear.

I leapt into action, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment, he’d be dead by my stick.
More rapid than eagles, his cousins they came,
Zombies a-plenty, appeared in the lane.

Oh SHIT, no FAIR! I’m all out of ammo!
And these boxes provide the very worst camo.
I impaled an enemy into the wall,
And after my crossbow was no use at all.

To the gravity gun, and a barrel let fly,
With that several Zombies hurled into the sky,
I ran to the roof top, but the Manhacks they flew,
So I unloaded my shotgun into them too.

And then, blood sprinkling, I heard on the roof,
Running and shouting, I needed no proof.
As I drew up my weapon and spun quickly around.
More Combine solidiers leapt out with a bound.

Running they came, headcrabs crushed underfoot,
The corpses of which, all covered in soot.
They were dressed all in outfits of metal and black,
With dangerous weapons, set for attack.

Their eyes, how they stared! Lifeless and scary.
So I threw a grenade, just as things got hairy.
They tried to escape but the bomb it did blow.
And scattered their bodies all out in a row.

A stump of a limb, unidentified teeth,
Were all that were left from my moment of grief.
I racked up my shotgun and climbed in the car.
When an antlion hollered at me from afar.

He was armoured and sharp, a right nasty thing.
I pulled out the crowbar, it clinked with a ding.
A wink of my eye, and a swing to the head.
I bludgeoned the beast and left him for dead.

I spoke not a word and went straight back to work,
Got to the base and blew up the jerk,
I gave Breen the finger and, as I mused.
The G-Man appeared and made me confused.

I sprang out of my bed, it had all been a dream,
The computer was on, and had loaded up Steam.
I think I've been playing too much Half Life 2
I wonder if Gordon gets Xmas off too?

-> I know its a little long, but definitly worth posting. Thanks to Chris Caines over at bit-tech for this.

Happy non-denominational winter holiday everyone!

Merry Christmaka, lol. James from a couple of years ago. Hoping to go pick up some new vinyl tomorrow with Alex. He has joined the ranks of the great and gone back to the retro stylings of records (my kudos if you are curious). Set last night went really well, i got picked up for another 6 months. That was my last live one of the year, I have a pre-recorded one that is going to air sometime next week (not sure when yet), and then I start right away again in the new year. January 5th I believe is the date, 9:35 mountain, 8:35 pacific for anyone tuning in. Gonna keep it shorter for today, ie. Thats all folks. I got a bunch of christmas stuff that I have been shooting around town that I will start posting probably tomorrow. Posted by Hello

Hehe, little alex. I hope he doesnt see this because he is going to kill me. Bad grade 9 photos really do bring back memories. Anyways, saw this on some site a little while back, guess I never got around to posting it. Apparently in the last week, it has got somewhere in the order of 50 000 hits and now this guy is getting praised for making a pure but exelent commercial. Looks good too me, hope apple picks up on it. Here is the link: Over Here the video is down on the right hand side a little Kudos!

Sometimes life can be so beautiful can't it. Neways, sorry to anyone who has been waiting for that set from last sunday, the file got corrupted 2 minutes into the recording and so I just scrapped it. New things in my life; not a huge amount. I am looking forward to christmas finially. It took longer than usual, but putting christmas lights into the basement seemed to do the trick. Hoping for that lovely new set of speakers this year, but im not so sure I will get them. Oh well, thats what boxing day is for right? I plan to hit up futureshop at about 6 or 6:15 so I should get lots of good deals. Powerbook sometime in the new year too, so that will be exciting. I have a 35minute set on wendsday as per usual, so I will post the links on tuesday for the live stream, and then probably on thursday for the recorded set.
